Real Assessment of Your Scalp

I treat non-inflammatory hair loss with a personalized cosmetic protocol — without promising anything that only a medical diagnosis can confirm.

What is Hair Therapy?

As part of the hair therapy I provide in Cascais, I assess the condition of your scalp and treat hair loss caused by non-inflammatory factors – such as stress, temporary hormonal changes or inadequate hair care – using a personalised cosmetic treatment plan that includes cleansing, exfoliation and specific active ingredients.

I do not diagnose or treat alopecia areata, androgenetic alopecia, or hair loss of thyroid origin: for these cases, the right course of action is to consult a dermatologist, and I tell you this during the initial consultation.

The session lasts 1 hour and has a value of 50€I always reserve the right time for an evaluation before confirming if this is the right treatment for your case.

Is hair therapy suitable for you?

Recommended when:

  • Diffuse hair loss associated with stress or seasonality.
  • Scalp with dandruff or persistent oiliness
  • Want to maintain hair density preventively?

I refer patients to dermatology when:

  • Plaque-like shedding or localized and progressive loss of density
  • Inflammatory signs — redness, pain, intense peeling.
  • Suspected hormonal or thyroid cause.

How I work: the scalp within its protocol

I don't treat hair therapy as an isolated service. When I assess your scalp, I look at it as part of the same protocol I use to care for your skin—because hair health and skin health share factors: stress, hormones, and skincare routine.

I define the protocol after the assessment, adjust the products based on what I find during the session, and clearly tell the client when something is outside my cosmetic scope. I prefer to refer her to the right professional rather than promise her something I can't deliver.

Realistic results: what to expect and how long it will take

Hair has its own growth cycle — so there are no immediate or guaranteed results. In general, the scalp needs at least 0 Weeks of consistent care are needed to show noticeable changes. I monitor this progress with you session by session and adjust the protocol according to your scalp's response.

I don't post fabricated testimonials on this page. You can see real reviews from my clients on my profile. markings (4.9/5, based on over 25 reviews).

FAQs

Questions about hair therapy

Does hair therapy treat hair loss?
It treats hair loss of non-inflammatory origin — linked to stress, seasonality, or inadequate care. Patchy or progressive and localized hair loss is referred to a dermatologist.
What is the difference between hair therapy and going to a dermatologist?
Hair therapy is a cosmetic treatment for the scalp. A dermatologist diagnoses and treats hair conditions such as alopecia. If you have any questions about which treatment applies to your case, I can clarify that during the consultation.
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on the protocol defined in the assessment. As a reference, the hair cycle usually requires at least 12 weeks of consistent care to show noticeable changes.
Does hair therapy hurt or have contraindications?
It's a gentle, painless procedure. The main contraindication is having open wounds or an active infection on the scalp—in that case, I would refer you to a doctor first.
Can I combine hair therapy with my facial treatment?
Yes. I treat the scalp as part of the same personalized protocol I use for your skin, not as a standalone service.
How much does it cost and how do I book?
The session costs R$ 50 and lasts 1 hour. Book via Setmore or WhatsApp Business — the assessment consultation is free if you book a service on the same day, or €20 otherwise.
